How do you unlock the PvP channel in the demo?

That is the full unlock as producer Ham's October 18 letter describes it. The letter names no other requirements — no level, quest or item gate is mentioned.

1. Play through the demo's first town.
2. Leave the first town and travel to your next destination.
3. Reach the Nui Statue there — you can now enter a PvP channel.
4. Enter the channel to play with PvP enabled; the letter does not describe anything further you must do.

How it normally works outside the demo

The letter says the PvP channel normally only becomes available after you have completed the early part of the game. For the demo, XLGAMES deliberately lowered the entry requirements so more players could try PvP during Next Fest — one of several demo changes responding to network-test feedback.

PvP in the full game

• Steam lists the game under Multi-player, MMO, PvP, Online PvP, Co-op and Online Co-op.
• PvP is one of the content pillars named in the Early Access notes, alongside exploration, dungeons, raids, housing, crafting, trading and company/guild activities.
• How PvP servers or channels will be structured at Early Access has not been detailed yet.

What the demo's PvP actually contains
