Throne of Hinnon: the ArcheAge Chronicles Demo's Hidden Dungeon

What is the Throne of Hinnon?

It is one of the two new pieces of content XLGAMES added for the Next Fest demo, alongside the early-unlocked PvP channel. Producer Ham's October 18 letter introduces it as a challenge "for players who enjoy mastering the combat system."

• A high-level dungeon that sits outside the demo's normal quest progression.
• It may be extremely difficult at the level you reach during the demo — which the letter calls part of the challenge.
• The key to the dungeon is hidden somewhere "that won't be easy to find."
• XLGAMES is curious who finds the key first and who conquers the dungeon, and asks finders to share it on the official Discord.

Where is the key? Not answered here

The only official statement about the key is that it is deliberately hidden. Various community posts claim specific key locations and routes; those are unverified, may differ between demo sessions or patches, and are not reproduced on this page. If you want the community consensus, the official Discord server is where XLGAMES itself directed players to share finds — and where you can weigh how well documented each claim is.

Why is it so hard at demo level?

The dungeon is tuned above the level the demo's roughly 2–3 hours of quest content is expected to bring you to, and it is intentionally placed outside the normal progression. That is everything XLGAMES has said about its difficulty; no boss list, mechanics or tactics have been published, so none are listed here.

Will Throne of Hinnon be in Early Access?

Not confirmed. The Steam Early Access notes promise dungeons and raids among the launch content, but do not name specific dungeons. Whether this one returns — and at what level — is something to watch for in the development roadmap XLGAMES has said it will share.
